Community Guidelines

The Clean Mind is built to be a considered, generous place. That quality depends on everyone who is here, including you.

These guidelines exist so that people can speak honestly, ask genuine questions, and disagree respectfully — without fear of being harassed, judged, or dismissed.

They are short. Please read them once, then return to them whenever you are unsure.

How we behave here

1

Respect all members and cultures

This is an international community. People join from India, the UK, Europe, North America, the Middle East, Australia and beyond, and they arrive with different backgrounds, traditions, faiths and viewpoints. That variety is part of what makes the room worth being in. Expect to be exposed to perspectives unlike your own, and be gracious about it.

2

Keep discussion thoughtful and constructive

You are welcome to disagree — firmly. Critique the idea, the argument, or the practice, and do it with specifics rather than generalisations. Attacking a person for their position helps nobody learn anything. If you disagree, say what you think is missing from the conversation.

3

No harassment, discrimination, hate speech, or personal attacks

None of the following will be tolerated: harassment, slurs, dehumanising language, targeted insults, threats, or sustained unwelcome attention. This applies to religion, nationality, ethnicity, race, gender, gender identity, sexuality, disability, caste, age, or any other characteristic — and it applies to admins as much as to members.

4

No spam, unsolicited advertising, or unauthorised promotion

Do not use the community to sell, promote, or recruit for products, services, courses, affiliate links, referral codes, or business opportunities that have not been approved by the Clean Mind team. Sharing a resource you genuinely found helpful is fine; repeatedly redirecting people to a purchase is not.

5

Protect privacy

Do not post private information about yourself or anyone else, and do not share another person's details without their explicit permission. This includes contact information, workplace, location, family details, health information, and screenshots of private conversations. What is shared here stays here.

6

No individual diagnosis, medication prescriptions, or treatment advice

Members may describe their own experiences, and that is welcome. But do not diagnose yourself or anyone else, prescribe or recommend medication, dosage, or supplements, or advise another member on treatment. Please direct all medical questions to a qualified healthcare professional who can properly assess you. Sharing what worked for you is helpful; telling someone what they should take is not.

7

Never disclose identifiable patient or personal health information

Do not share details about your patients, clients, or anyone you know personally who is seeking care — including in anonymised form where the details could still identify them. Please remove names, locations, dates, employers, and rare conditions before posting anything about a real person's health situation.

8

No misleading medical or psychological claims

Do not claim that any technique, tool, practice, or mindset shift cures, treats, heals, or permanently resolves any physical or mental health condition, and do not promise guaranteed outcomes. If a claim sounds too good to be true, it does not belong here. This applies to your own posts and to anything you share or link to.

9

Avoid dangerous or unqualified advice

Do not advise anyone on medication, dosage, supplements, extreme diets, fasting beyond safe limits, sleep deprivation, intense physical regimens, or any practice undertaken without professional guidance. We take this seriously. If you are unsure whether something falls into this category, don't recommend it.

10

This is an educational community, not crisis support

There is no emergency channel here, no monitoring service, and no guarantee that anyone will read your message in time. This community is for education and reflection. If you are in crisis, please use the proper support below rather than posting here.

Our educational disclaimer

The Clean Mind offers educational content for personal development, mental clarity, emotional wellbeing, and intentional living. Our work is grounded in evidence-informed education and a physician's teaching perspective.

The Clean Mind is not a psychiatric clinic, not a psychotherapy service, and not a substitute for medical treatment or professional advice. Nothing published here — in lessons, resources, discussions, or live sessions — should be relied upon as medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Individual results vary, and no technique can guarantee any particular outcome. Members should always seek the guidance of a qualified healthcare professional regarding medical concerns, and consult an appropriately licensed mental health professional for psychological support.

Crisis and urgent support

Please read this

This community is not equipped to respond to emergencies or crisis situations, and it does not provide crisis intervention or emergency mental health support.

If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, or if you are worried about someone else's safety, please contact your local emergency services or a qualified professional immediately. Do not wait for a reply here, and do not rely on this community to notice.

You can also reach out to a local crisis helpline in your country. In an emergency, always contact emergency services. Reaching out early is a strength, not a failure.

How posts are handled

This community is carefully moderated by the Clean Mind team. When you submit a post, an administrator reviews it before it becomes visible to other members. Content may be edited for clarity, or removed if it breaks any of the guidelines above.

This is why a submission you sent may not appear immediately — it is being read first. It is not an automated queue, and there is no fixed review time we can promise. We would rather a post waited a little longer than went out carelessly.

If something you submitted is removed or edited, you will be told why.
